Congratulations Stephen. I am not even remotely Australian but I will check the list out.

  2. Hi Neena, Thanks. I think there will be a few new blogs in my feed reader as a result of checking out the list. I hope you find some good ones as well.

  3. Serg says:

    Thanks for list!!!

  4. Congrats Stephen! I’ve been noticing more and more lately that appearing in “Top whatever blogs” lists has the potential of driving some good traffic.

I’ve also been thinking about starting my own list, but haven’t come up with a good idea for the niche yet.

  5. Hi Josh, I’ve definitely had some extra traffic from the list. The more places you can get your blog listed, the more traffic you’ll get. Of course you have to keep the new visitors! I’m very conscious of this at the moment. I’ve had a lot of award / meme / guest post / sponsored posts recently, so it’s quite likely the new visitors won’t stay here. I need to get back to some core content, starting with the next post.

I think hosting a list has a LOT of potential to drive traffic. You just need to come up with a good idea – a list that everyone wants to be on! Of course it will take time to set it up properly and to deal with people wanting to be added, but would probably be well worth it.

    Nice one, and well deserved!

I didn’t realise you were Australian, but don’t worry, I won’t hold it against you ;-)

    Hi Stephen,

I’ll add my congrats on your lofty position on the Aussie blogosphere and I’ll also be checking out the list. In light of recent conversations perhaps you should start a crossover list of Australian/Caribbean bloggers to boost your planned as revenue from GC ;-) Heck, our flag’s are even similar – a hangover from colonialism!

  8. Hi Chris, Thanks. Yeah, I’m an Aussie. Lived in the UK for 4 years though, so I’m used to rainy weather and warm beer. :)

Hi Mo (bet you didn’t know I lived in the UK as well), Sounds like a great idea. I’ve just added my latest CI advertising plan to the comments on your site. Can’t see any reason why we shouldn’t expand it. :)
